Time To Die By Caroline Mitchell

Book Description:

Don’t ever cross his palm with silver.
He will reveal your most shameful secrets.
He will predict your death.
He is hiding a secret.
He is hiding a monster.
And all his predictions come true.

Investigating a series of chilling murders, Detective Jennifer Knight finds herself tracking a mysterious tarot card reader known only as The Raven.

As the death toll rises, Jennifer and her team build a picture of a serial killer on the edge of sanity, driven by dark forces. But these are not random killings. And the method behind the madness could be the most terrifying thing of all …

My Thoughts:

Time To Die is the second in the Jennifer Knight series. I would highly recommend reading Don’t Turn Around first.

I have to say I loved the first book in the series but Caroline has excelled herself in Time To Die.

The author has created a detective series with a bit of a difference, crime and the paranormal which for me is just a brilliant combination and it works so well.

Time To Die for me is a lot darker. The storyline of a man know as The Raven who predicts peoples deaths through tarot card readings was extremely creepy but made for a gripping read. It is fast paced and has all the perfect ingredients needed for the perfect reading experience.

I’m not a big lover of ravens but after reading this book I will be steering well clear from them from now on.

Time To Die takes the reader on a creepy and thrilling roller coaster of a ride. It is the perfect mixture of crime and the super natural. With a jaw dropping twist near the end which I seriously did not see coming this book is an absolute must read.

I am certainly a big Jennifer Knight fan now and can’t wait to see what other thrills the author has in store for the reader as well as Jennifer and her team in the future.

Many thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Time To Die is due to be published on the 24th of September, you can pre order a copy now on Amazon

Especially when it seems the death of one of their own is on the cards.

    1. your welcome, having let the budgies have a bit of a fly round the living room today it made me appreciate how scary Jennifer must have felt with the ravens lol. And yes i know theres a bit of a difference between a budgie and a raven! lol x
