Web of Deceit: A DI Sally Parker novella by M A Comley & Tara Lyons

Book Description:

DI Sally Parker is called to one of the best hotels in the area after one of the guests, Megan Carmen, reports her friend, Tina, missing.

Sally investigates Megan’s background when the woman reveals that she has just arrived from France and Tina is a woman she met on the Internet. Do genuine people truly arrange to innocently meet people they’ve only just met online? Or, in light of Tina’s disappearance, is there something far more sinister afoot?

My Thoughts:

Web of Deceit is a short DI Sally Parker novella.

I love the DI Sally Parker series and it was great to get another fix of her even though she only features towards the end in the story.

The whole storyline is very current for todays world and has an underlying message in there that we could all take note of.

The author has actually teamed up with a new author on this novella but all the elements and the feel of the series is still very much there.

As it is a relatively short story it is quite difficult to go into the storyline to much without giving things away. All I will say is that what should have been a fun road trip for two friends turns out to be a lot more sinister.

It certainly will make the reader question what their online friends are like in person and if they are the same as the persona they give off online.

Many thanks to both authors for an Advanced Readers Copy in exchange for an honest review.

Goodreads rating 4/5 stars.

Web of Deceit is due to be published on the 20th of January, you can pre order a copy on Amazon.
