Winter Holiday Reads 2016

We have just come back from a wonderful week spent on Sal a small island in Cape Verde. The island is actually only 20 miles long by 6 miles wide so as you can imagine there wasn’t a great deal to do there. The weather was fabulous though and I have to admit to spending most of my time there reading on a sun lounger. We did tour the island though which took us the grand total of 4 hours!

So here’s what I read on my holiday:

The Girl Who Never Came Back by Amy Cross (4 stars)

The C Word by Lisa Lynch (4 stars)

600 Hours Of Edward by Craig Lancaster (5 stars)

Bad Blood by Casey Kelleher (5 stars)

Us by David Nicholls (3.5 stars)

The Girl with the Fragile Mind by Claire Seeber (3 stars)

Coco Pinchard’s Big Fat Tipsy Wedding by Robert Bryndza (5 stars)

The Not So Secret Emails Of Coco Pinchard by Robert Bryndza (5 stars)

Fudge Cake, Felony and a Funeral by Sherri Bryan (5 stars)

Amendments by H.M. Lynn (3 stars)

Disclaimer by Renee Knight (4 stars)

Cold Granite by Stuart MacBride (4 stars)

    1. there really was nothing to do other than read. we toured the island in one morning so wasnt really anything to do after that. it i still an up and coming island so alot of work going on. pool was freezing and the sea was really choppy so just stayed on the lounger while hubby went swimming or went off for a walk x

    1. i am quite a quick reader. a novel around 300-400 pages can take me 3-4 hours to read depending on how much i enjoy it. there was literally nothing to do where we went on holiday so apart from one day where we toured the island i spent 8-10 hours a day reading. think i will need to cut down as think hubby is feeling neglected lol x
