Many thanks to Joanne over on Portobello Book Blog for bringing to my attention this fab idea.
Author You’ve Read the Most Books From
Stephen King and James Patterson. Was a huge fan of both authors and have read many of their books which I have spent many a happy hour enjoying.
Best Sequel Ever
The Disciple by Steven Dunne, it just blew me away. Even thinking about it now makes my heart beat faster.
The Long weekend by Jane E James
Drink of Choice While Reading
Bit boring but I only actually drink water unless I’m socialising and then it’s alcohol 🙂
E-Reader or Physical Book
I have to admit I am an E-Reader convert. I love my kindle as it is so handy, though I still enjoy reading the odd physical book.
Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated in High School
Edward from The Twilight series. Yes I know it may be a bit corny but even reading the books as an adult it brought back memories of the rush of hormones and emotions that I would feel back then and most girls are attracted to the moody guys that are more of a loner. Or is that just me 😉
Glad You Gave this Book a Chance
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I really struggled with the first half of this book and couldn’t understand what all the fuss was about but the second half blew me away and was very emotional and I ended up loving it.
Hidden Gem Book
Out of the Darkness by Katy Hogan. This was one of my top ten reads of 2015 and I think it deserves so much more recognition as it’s a truly wonderful novel.
Important Moment in Your Reading Life
I would have to say it was starting my own blog. It has opened me up to so many new authors and books as well as the amazing community of bloggers and it certainly has made a huge impact on my life.
The brilliant The Night Stalker by Robert Bryndza. Loving his Erika Foster crime series, highly recommended if you haven’t read them yet.
Kind of Books You Won’t Read
Definite no no’s for me is Sci Fi and some Fantasy.
Longest Book You’ve Read
To be honest I can’t remember which one but I know it was a Stephen King novel.
Major Book Hangover
Having just finished The Night Stalker it has left me bereft at having to wait for the next one 😦
One Book You’ve Read Multiple Times
I don’t really have time to re read books now but as a child I used to re read loads. Sue Towsend and Enid Blyton one’s especially.
Preferred Place to Read
You can’t get any comfier place than your bed and always spend a couple of hours before going to sleep reading.
Quote that Inspires You/Gives You all the Feels from a Book You’ve Read
“Life. It’s like a snow globe. From the outside it can look pretty, idyllic, calm. But in reality it’s a sham. Look closely inside and you’ll see everything is fake, plastic, very small and very, very meaningless. And then every now and again some bastard comes along and shakes the whole lot up.”
I absolutely love this quote which is from The Fix by Keith Nixon
Knowing that no matter how many books I devour I will never be able to read all the great books that are out there.
Series You Started and Need to Finish
There are too many to mention but the ones that spring to mind first is Stuart MacBride’s Logan Mcrae series and Peter James, Roy Grace series.
Three of Your All-Time Favourite Books
I can’t even narrow it down to three so not even going to try, sorry.
Unapologetic Fangirl For
The Harry Potter series. Loved the books as well as the films. Have re watched the films countless times and hope to at some point re read the books.
Worst Bookish Habit
Being addicted to reading. I read 412 books last year which took it’s toll on my eyesight and now need to wear glasses when reading. I did make a resolution to cut back this year but at over 150 read already, I don’t think it’s working.
