Justice at Christmas by M A Comley

Book Description:

A Christmas short story of 10,000 involving all the old members of the team.

DI Lorne Simpkins and her partner DS Pete Childs encounter a dangerous gang of Santas who plan on creating havoc on the streets of London on Christmas Eve.

Pete is persuaded to go undercover to foil the gang’s audacious plan.

My Thoughts:

Just in time for the festive period, the perfect read for fans of the Justice series.

Lorne and the much loved Pete are back in a short story fighting crime in the festive period. In this book Santa has been a bad boy, well a string of Santa’s as they are going around robbing businesses.

Pete ends up going undercover to fish out the mastermind behind it all and blow the racket wide apart.

Pete is such a wonderful character. He’s just one of those people that you want to mother and look after as well as giving him a few big hugs. This very much comes through in the relationship between Lorne and Pete and theirs is one I never tire of reading.

I love how we get to have a glimpse of Lorne’s home life in the days that she is still married to her husband. It gives us more of an insight into why the marriage broke down and why they are both where they are in the current full length novels.

Justice at Christmas is a great quick read that will quench the thirst of fans of this series. Well for a bit a little while at least. Easy to devour in one sitting and a highly enjoyable read with much loved characters that readers will never tire of.

My thanks to the author for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

Goodreads rating 5/5 stars.

Justice At Christmas is out now and available to purchase from Amazon.
