Then when Matt and Beth make plans to wed at Lavenders family home, Winterscroft, the frightening truth becomes apparent. Lavender is back. And she is not happy. From the bestselling author of 34 Days comes a tale of love, death and revenge.

My Thoughts:

Winterscroft is very much a supernatural/suspense story.

Nearly six years after Lavenders death, disturbing and horrible things start to happen to the family and friends of those who live in Winterscroft. Winterscroft has very much been a loving family home up until Matt announces his upcoming wedding which seems to waken Lavender who is not happy, at all!

You could even to a certain extent take this for a horror novel as I could just imagine this as a film and it would be a very disturbing one at that. Lavender was always such a sweet girl so no one, especially her family, are prepared for just how evil she can be.

Rose, who is Lavenders sister is the one who seems to be the main character in it all. She is trying to keep strong for her family and friends and with help from them all, try to put a stop to the madness.

The author certainly knows how to draw in and keep her readers attention. I was hooked from start to finish. There is certainly plenty of suspense as you never know what Lavender is going to do next to make her presence felt. As much as I really enjoyed the story there were a couple of parts that made me feel uncomfortable and didn’t sit right with me but obviously that is just my own personal feelings, otherwise its a great read and fans of this author are yet again in for an exciting and disturbing experience.

My thanks to Bloodhound Books for a copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

Goodreads rating 4/5 stars.
