Hidden Agenda by M.A. Comley @Melcom1

Book Description:

An hour after accepting a lift home from work, Sarah Abel is found murdered in her flat. With very few clues at the scene, it’s up to DI Kayli Bright and her team to decide if this is a case of a bungled burglary or if Sarah is part of someone else’s hidden agenda. While sifting through the list of suspects, Kayli worries her personal turmoil threatens to derail the investigation.

With her stress levels at their highest and overwhelmed by her concern for her missing fiancé, Kayli makes a decision that shocks her team and her family.

A decision that not only jeopardises her job but also puts her own life in mortal danger.

My Thoughts:

Hidden Agenda is the third book in the DI Kayli Bright trilogy. I think to get full enjoyment of the books you are best reading them in order. You definitely need to know what happens in the book before this to get the full background of what is going on in Kayli’s personal life.

The author takes us right into the thick of things with poor unsuspecting Sarah being brutally murdered. It sets the pace off brilliantly as yet again I was struggling to put this book down.

The tension that builds in this book was at times agonising. I wanted to know who the killer was as well as if Mark would return back safe and well. My heart was in my mouth so many times that I was literally sat at the edge of my seat as I couldn’t relax until I knew what the outcome was.

Hidden Agenda was just the perfect ending to this trilogy. It had everything I hoped for and more. The author really knows how to keep her readers filled with anticipation and gets the adrenaline flowing with some hair raising moments. Loved it!

My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

Goodreads rating 5/5 stars.
