Sometimes hot cocoa just isn’t enough to keep you warm in the snow…
Eloise is too busy juggling the chaos of three kids, an ever present ex-husband and a demanding boss to even remember the last time dating crossed her mind.
But as soft snow falls silently all around, romance twinkles with the flakes.
After being single for so long, Eloise suddenly has a lot of choices. Too many choices. Will anyone be worthy of melting the guard around her heart to let love in?
A fun-filled, festive read for fans of Christie Barlow, Fiona Gibson and Colleen Coleman
Eloise’s story is one that is highly believable as well as relatable. The author doesn’t sugar coat it, she shows us real life in a way that will have you nodding your head and totally getting everything that Eloise is going through but in a fun and humorous way.
We all love reading a book or watching a film set around Christmas. Winter time can be very magical as well as picturesque, what we never get to see though is the issues this time of year causes parents to have to go through. School closures, parents being left with no childcare and what to do with their children.
Eloise, I adored. A single mum who is trying to do her best. She has her hands full with her children who I adored even more. Again there was so many things I could relate to with children shouting things out you wish they hadn’t, making me remember when my children were younger and how I wish at times I could sink into the ground. Dreaded phone calls from school, I was just so glad that for once I was reading of someone else’s misfortunes rather than my own.
There are so many characters that really make this story even more great. Some of who will even have you changing your mind about and softening towards. This is very much a story about a woman trying to find herself in a world that is constantly changing. It really is great to read a book that isn’t all romance and flowers yet at the same time making it so endearing that you don’t want to put down.
Snowday is such a fabulous and feel good read. It really is a tonic, cheering me up no end. Whilst at times a humorous read, it is also a heart warming one. The perfect book to snuggle up with at this time of year, though you may want to read it on a day when you have the house to yourself so there are no unwanted interruptions!
My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
