My Thoughts:

This is the second short story in the Scott Family series. I wouldn’t say it’s essential to have read the first book as this does work well as a stand alone but you will probably want to go back and read it as this is one family you DON’T want to miss!

Set as Christmas time, you easily recognise the stress of having all the family around at your house whilst trying to also sort all the food out. I didn’t envy Laura what so ever. Her and Ben seem to be going strong and Ben hasn’t been put off so far by Laura’s family.

What I love about Laura’s family is there are no air and graces. They are down to earth people who just say it as it is. They really bring a lot of fun and humour into the story, of which at one of the most stressful times of the year, it can be much needed!

Being a short story, I knew the story couldn’t possibly cover much of the day, or would only be a very brief overview, but we only get to spend the morning with the family. To be fair, that was probably enough with what goes on, but I have to admit as I was enjoying it, I would have liked to have spent more of the day with them.

A Christmas day Kerfuffle is another fun and entertaining catch up with a family that would give The Royle Family a run for their money. A great quick and fun read.
