My Thoughts:
This is an author who for me, can do no wrong. I absolutely, blooming well lover her books!
Imagine waking up and not remembering anything about who you are or your past? I could only imagine and even then, I had no doubts about how lonely and scary it would be. I didn’t envy what had happened to Mia one bit. But then we don’t actually know why it’s happened which of course had my senses on high alert.
Well the author had me second guessing every character that appears in the story. Were they friend or foe and what were their intentions. I feel bad for thinking so poorly about them all but I knew I had to be right that one of them had something to hide, I just didn’t know which one. As the story progresses I was even more reluctant to put the book down to get on with every day life as I had to know. Everything!
The Girl From The Sea is a dark and twisted, breath taking read. Loved it, loved it, loved it! Shalini Boland is without a doubt the queen of page turning novels. She never fails to take me by surprise and always has something up her sleeve to send me reeling. I always feel on such a high with her books through the adrenaline that is coursing through me when reading them. Brilliant!

Sounds good Sarah, but I think that I’ll have to wait a while before reading it. The amnesia trope has been used in two of my most recent reads, the most recent being “Between the lies” by Michelle Adams. I’m not sure I’d enjoy another one so soon. Perhaps I could read another of this author’s books.

I didn’t realize that this one had been re-released by Bookouture. I listened to it a while ago and really enjoyed it. It was actually the first book by Shalini Boland that I read/listened to. Great review Sarah.

Oh wow. Yes they have been re publishing a couple of her older books that she had previously published before signing with them. They are all great books. x
