My Thoughts:

The story flicks between present day as well as the past. Present day is mainly set over the course of one day at the wedding of Matt and Kat. In the past we get to see more of the relationship between the uni friends as well as a bit more about Luca and her failed romances.

Luca is your everyday girl. She doesn’t have the perfect figure and she knows she could do with probably losing a few pounds but otherwise she is actually happy with herself. Thank you author! It’s great to read of a protagonist who isn’t hung up about their weight and is happy with how they are. Usually they tend either be so hung up or perfect in every way, so this was a pleasant change.

I enjoyed getting to know Luca and her uni friends better. Not many people who were friends at school or uni would still be in touch but this bunch still have a great connection with each other. By the end I felt like I was one of them having read of all the ins and outs of their relationships and friendships.

The Time Of Our Lives will have you reminiscing about your younger years and as to probably what your friends from uni or school are doing now. There is also a very much of a will they, won’t they between Luca and Tom who she has always held a torch up to. The author certainly kept me guessing as to which direction their relationship would take and definitely kept me turning the pages to see what the outcome would be. A light hearted and entertaining read which will put a smile on your face and warm your heart.
