The Lady In The Street by Emmy Ellis & M.A. Comley @Melcom1 @EmmyEllisAuthor

Book Description:

She’s there. Ready now. Eager to end this. Too many years have gone by without retribution.

DI Helena Stratton has another murder case right on the back of the last. Someone is out there killing randomly—or so it seems.

Who is going around stabbing innocent people—and why?

Will Helena’s nightmares stemming from the past ever go away?

Four dead—it has to end, but there is nothing concrete to go on.

Why can’t Helena find the lady in the street?

My Thoughts:

This is the second book in the DI Helena Stratton crime series but can easily be read as a standalone.

Well, what a story and a half this one was. I’ve come across some sick and twisted killers in my love of crime novels but this one really freaked me out. The murders are brutal and horrific yet I couldn’t stop turning those pages to carry on reading as to what would happen next.

You can feel Helena and her teams frustrations as the body count keeps rising and yet they are nowhere near catching the culprit. I wondered if for once this was a case that the police wouldn’t be able to solve. If you want to know if they do, then you will need to read it yourself.

The Lady In The Street is a hair raising and gripping read that sent shivers down my spine. The authors have really raised the bar with their second book in the series. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next. A chilling crime thriller that’s not to be missed.

My thanks to the authors for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
