Book Description:
Another gripping instalment in the DI Sara Ramsey series from New York Times and USA Today bestselling author M. A. Comley who has sold over three millions copies world wide since publishing her Justice series.
He had no choice…
The justice system has failed him…
DI Sara Ramsey has yet another tough case to solve when a primary school teacher turns up murdered.
Why?
The murderer has an agenda and is crossing names off his list.
Not caring about the risks…he only has one thing in his sight… retribution.
My Thoughts:
Wow, I can’t believe we are on book eight already in the series!
I’m enjoying seeing a detective that is loved up and happy for a change. Things arn’t all rosy for Sara with her previous husband’s family constantly causing issues for her. Am hoping they will fade away at some point so that Sara can get on with own life with her new partner.
The author shows us how tough it can be for people in this line of work when it comes to days off as well as having some time off. It’s a job where, depending on a case, you can be called in at anytime or contacted and I did feel a little bit sorry for the characters but then it wouldn’t be much of a detective story if there were to be no crimes involved!
This is a killer that is cold and calculating and has been pushed well past their limits. The author deals with a topic which is without a doubt unjust and more needs to be done. Unfortunately that doesn’t justify the killer’s actions. This is a case that causes tension and friction between Sara and some of her colleagues as personal opinions get in the way. I think this is one crime where the reasons behind it will have readers torn with their empathy for the killer.
For The Love Of… is another steady paced read that had me hooked throughout. It picks up pace towards the end sending everything into a bit of a frenzy as to whether the team will be able to stop the killer in time before they strike again. My heart was in my mouth as the body count was growing and I was glued to the edge of my seat until I turned the last page. Another enthralling read in a great series.
My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
