My Thoughts:

This is the third book to feature the main character that we only know as The Introvert. It does read as a standalone but I do urge readers to read the other books to really get to know him better and how his mind ticks. They are great fun as well.

I don’t think there is another book out there that you could compare to this. It is so unique and a breath of fresh air in the ever growing world of books. The Introvert is so straight and everything is pretty much at face value. He may be a killer but it’s one that has the readers routing for him. More so in this one as whilst he doesn’t seem to have much empathy about him, I really found my self softening towards him with how he is towards one of the other female jurors and his obvious love of dogs.

Having done jury service myself only last year, this was a lot of fun to read as the author gets it spot on with what goes on in the courts and the jurors room. It took me straight back to my time doing it and brought those particular parts to life.

The Introvert Bears Filthy Witness is a bit of an out there read but yet wonderfully dark and humorous. If you’re a crime lover but looking for something a little bit different then I can’t recommend this author’s books enough. They are relatively quick reads, more novellas, of which I can never help but binge read in one go. The Introvert is vast becoming one of my fictional icons. I LOVE his character and he is what makes the books so entertaining.

I was inspired to write The Introvert after reading Crime and Punishment (Dostoevsky) and The Stranger (Camus). It has been likened to Dexter and American Psycho meeting Office Space and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. I also consider it the most unorthodox of animals rights books. Every dog lover should read them.
