My Thoughts:

Jessica is happily married with two children. The loss of her sister over four years ago, is still very much felt. Even more so when her daughter Olivia starts to mention things about Izzy (Isabel) that there is no possible explanation as to how she could know them.

We are taken back and forth in present day with Jessica trying to get to the bottom of things with her daughter and questioning if her sisters death really was an accident. In the past we get to see more of Isabel and what her life was like in the lead up to her death.

The author will have you questioning everyone. I felt certain that some people were totally innocent and hadn’t even considered them of being guilty of anything. The author would throw something into the light though that made me have doubts about them all. I loved Olivia’s character and the kind of supernatural feel as to whether there is something even more sinister afoot.

In Her Shadow was a pulse racing read that I struggled to tear myself away from. I was kept guessing throughout until the heart pounding conclusion. It makes you question how well you really know your loved ones. Another great psychological thriller of a read by the author.
