But someone’s not talking.
When another student’s body is found, Erica finds herself in a race against time to stop the killer…
Having read the first book in this series and absolutely loving it, I couldn’t wait to catch back up with DI Erica Swift to see what was in store for her as well as us readers and pleased to say it didn’t disappoint. As there is a bit of background that does creep into this one, I would recommend reading in order, plus The Eye Thief is a phenomenal read that you won’t want to miss!
This story starts off with a case that looks pretty straight forward in terms of the reader knows more than the police do and everything seems quite clear cut. Or is it? More than a few times I thought I knew exactly where things were going only for the author to throw in a curve ball which had me doubting everything I had previously believed. It was very nicely done and I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough.
The Silent One was another great read and though only the second book in the series, it yet again left me very excited at what else is to come in future books. So far they have been dark and disturbing and everything that I love and could want from a crime thriller. If you love a dark and twisted read that will keep you on your toes, then I highly recommend you adding this author and series to your reading pile.
The Silent One is available to purchase from Amazon.
