My Thoughts:

Elliot lives in a lovely renovated house in an idyllic village. Whilst overall he is happy, he is missing having someone to share his life with. Meeting and falling in love with Gemma though, doesn’t pre pare him for his in-laws.

Gemma’s parents really are the in-laws from hell. On meeting them I knew I wasn’t going to like them and I felt sorry for Elliot for having to put up with them as I couldn’t imagine putting up with them for a couple of days never mind a couple of weeks! Things go from bad to worse and tensions in the household are fraught to say the least. Not only are they all not getting on, there is something about this family that doesn’t sit right and I was eager to know what secrets they were hiding.

It’s hard to say too much more about the story as wouldn’t want to give too much away. Elliot’s life though gets turned upside down and he realises just how little he knows about his new wife and her family. It had me constantly second guessing everything and I couldn’t have been more wrong!

Here To Stay will certainly put you off ever inviting your in-laws to stay! Elliot has way more patience than I could ever have in this story. It seemed like every page there was something weird or strange going on that had me thinking all sorts as well casting even more suspicion on Gemma’s parents. If it wasn’t for normal life I would have devoured this book in one sitting as it was so engrossing. The conclusion blew my mind! A highly addictive page turner!
