Wowzers, what a ride!

The story is told in alternating chapters between three women. Anna, Margot and Rachel. Anna is a heart surgeon whose world is turned upside down when she is put in the most horrendous of positions of killing one person to save another. It was so hard to know what to do if you were to be in her shoes, especially when the person you want to save is your eight year old son.

Margot is a nurse at the same hospital as Anna and I have to admit I found myself in conflict with how I felt about her. She was someone I wanted to feel empathy for, for the situation she has found herself in but then her actions made it harder for me to do that. Again it is one of those scenarios of what you would do if you were in that persons shoes.

Rachel is a detective who is investigating a murder of which hers and Anna’s paths cross. Rachel was a character I feel has so much potential and would be ideal for either a spin off or a crime series with her as the main protagonist. I felt that there was more to her story that would make for some great reading. Of course to know what I am talking about you will need to read the book for yourself!

Do No Harm, wow, what can I say! It literally felt like I held my breath all the way through due to the incredibly tense storyline. Anna’s predicament had me racing through the pages and I could feel my heartbeat racing alongside with it. There is so much I want to say about this story but it would give too much of it away. It will literally have the adrenaline pumping through you with the increasing need of knowing how it will all end. I was beginning to think I might need a doctor myself as I wasn’t sure if my heart could take in all of the thrills that were in store. Another winning read by the author!
