My Thoughts:
Maddie Please is an author who can do no wrong for me. I simply adore her books and her latest is no exception!
Bea is a sixty year old author who has lost her mojo. She is hoping a trip to meet up with two friends in France, will help give her a much needed boost. As with all this authors books, the settings are so dreamy and will have you wanting to book a trip away as soon as possible! Of course it would also help if you had a friend that has renovated and owns a chateau!
Through Bea we get to see that life certainly is far from over at sixty. There is still so much possibility and lots to live for. I think when we are younger, we envision life being over by that age but when you start edging closer, you still very much feel like a twenty something in your head and have hopes and dreams. I loved Bea’s character and knowing all her thoughts. The blossoming friendship between her and Laurent especially made me smile as it felt like being a teenager again and I couldn’t help but get caught up in all the chemistry.
Old Friends Reunited is the perfect pick me up. I can’t help but devour this author’s novels as once I start, they are far to addictive to put back down again. It has everything that I love about this genre and was a highly entertaining read that never fails to leave me on a high. A book that is guaranteed to brighten any readers day!
