The next instalment in the DI Sara Ramsey thriller series from NT Times bestselling author M A Comley, author of the Justice and DI Sam Cobbs series, who to date, has sold over four million copies worldwide.
Liars seldom prosper…
When a distraught woman reports witnessing the murder of her lover, DI Sara Ramsey soon realises the case is far more complex than she anticipated.
With numerous clues to sift through, and yet more murders to deal with, Sara soon has her DCI breathing down her neck, urging her to solve the crimes swiftly.
However, with the killer evading capture several times, Sara’s career is at risk.
Can Sara and her team catch the elusive killer or will this intriguing case have a devastating impact on Sara’s professional and personal life?
Comley is an author who knows how to grab hold of her readers attention right from the off. With the dark way this story starts off, I was left with a ton of questions which could only mean if I was struggling to fathom out what the hell was going on, how would Sara and her team fair any better?
Poor Sara, her job really gets in the way of her home life and you can see that even the ever so patient Mark is starting to lose his patience with his wife going out of the house at all times of the night which cuts into their quality time. Both have quite demanding jobs but catching criminals and killers is something that sadly can not wait and as like most industries, with cuts and shortages, it means that people like Sara are even more in demand.
There is a real sense of urgency with more bodies turning up and the onus is on Sara to start finding some answers as to whether something ties all these killings together. It is like looking for a needle in a haystack as they try to work out what connects all the victims and more importantly who. It will certainly keep you guessing as a few likely suspects come into play but whether they are the killer or not you will have to read and find out for yourself!
Deadly Passion had me hooked from the first page. There is plenty going on in the story to keep you gripped and I ended up reading the book in two sittings. It would have been one if it hadn’t been way passed by bedtime already! Compelling and thoroughly suspenseful, I was literally biting my nails in anticipation on how it would all end. Word of warning, it will send your emotions through the wringer a few times but it was well and truly worth it!
My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
